Travelling through the mountain or by the sea, either way is equally scenic and breathtaking. Our land is located in the Magnesia district, Hellas, on the hills of East Pelion Mount, along the crystal clear coasts of the Aegean Sea.
We assume that the starting point for your trip to our land is Volos town. From there you can select either one of the two road trips: Note: The numbers in bold letters to the tables hereunder represent the corresponding numbers on the map.
Track 1: Mountainous (45.2 Km)
Following this road you will pass from the western part through Portaria village to the eastern part of the Pelion Mount peninsula via the mountain's peak "Chania" where the ski centre is located.
Following this road you will travel along the coastal road of the Pagasitikos Gulf entering several villages (Agria, Gatzea) until soon after Kala Nera were you will continue left towards Tsagarada via "Milies" village.
Track 1: Asphalt in generally good condition with many turns and symmetrical sloping 50/50. (Volos - Chania: Up hill, Chania-Anilio: Down hill). Average slope percentage: <10% Track 2: Asphalt in generally very good condition with fewer turns. Sloping is non-measurable up to "Kala Nera" conjunction. From that point on you start moving up hill with mixed sloping trends. Average slope percentage: <10%
Precautions
Weather: During winter-period snowfalls, possible use of snow chains might be considered, especially in "Chania" and "Milies" locations. On severe snowfalls part of the road network might be blocked for some time.
During autumn and spring, fog might be covering segments of the road, especially at the eastern part of the mountain route, right after "Chania".
